What to write when you’re doing too much sh*t to stop and write

 Reads: Once I defeat the chemical imbalance in my brain, it’s over for you hoes. This is not directly related to anything in this post, but I’m grateful to have friends who send me a steady stream of humour as we flail about in perimenopause during whatever the f* this is (gestures widely) 

Oh my. I have so much to tell you. 

Do you ever stop, mid-sentence in a conversation, and have to take a beat because your mind just scurried into five different directions and you’re not sure which thread to follow?

I’ve started and deleted a hundred lines. 

Like, do I tell you about the mystical death portal it seems like I opened by turning my “coaching retirement” into a Wake and completion ritual? Because I’m in some next-level-witch-shizzle over here, and I don’t know where to begin. The Ravens? The dark energy infestation? The Holy Tree initiation? The remains painted across my deck? Wait What?!? Exactly. 

Or do I tell you about the AH-MA-ZING experience I’ve been having in the creation process of this whole new season of life, work and art that feels like the culmination of an immense amount of inner work, collaborative dreaming and deep relational support? And then, say, give a teaser of the new site, show branding and creative pursuits?

Or should I wax poetic about domesticity and how sweet it is to be suspended in structureless summer with kids? Jkjk. I romanticize this all year, and then it comes, and I’m like, oh-my-god-this-is-hard-i-want-childcare.

Or should I share about the massive breakthrough I recently had, where I was telling myself I was ambivalent about certain forms of leadership and expression (what is and isn’t mine to do), but what’s true is that it’s not ambivalence, it’s terror. And why that’s excellent news.
